YOU’RE INVITED…

To read some accolades of praise!

HAPPY COUPLES POST THEIR FEELINGS AND HEARTFELT THANKS!

NEVER EVER just “let your fingers do the walking.” Recommendations and referrals are by far the best way to select your wedding service providers.

You can visit many beautiful and eloquent venues where you plan to have your ceremony and reception and even taste the food. You can walk into a florist and look at amazing flower arrangements. You can go hear a band play, listen to them on a recording or video, or check out a live DJ. You can look at a photographer or videographer’s work in his studio and some will be happy to come to your home. You can even select your wedding cake from a photograph.
And let’s not forget the selection of the brides wedding dress and the groom’s tuxedo. Just another process that takes place during the planning stages of your wedding day.

You can’t, however, see a wedding officiant perform a ceremony unless you attend an actual wedding. So what’s the next best thing?

It’s simple! I extend to you and your fiancé a very special invitation to read all the warm and heartfelt letters written to me by couples that have experienced my unforgettable ceremony first-hand.

This is the only way you can see why the wedding ceremony I perform
is truly beautiful and unique. My ceremony will become the most important part of your wedding day – I guarantee it!

    WEDDING DATE -

“As soon as we heard your voice on the phone, we knew we’d found our officiant!”

    Dear Captain Arnold,
Words cannot express how grateful we are to have had you officiate our wedding ceremony. When Mike and I first got engaged, the conversation began on what type of wedding ceremony we felt would best represent us; an interfaith ceremony where the primary focus would more so about our love for one another than anything else. When our venue recommended your services, we were excited to talk to you and find out what your ceremony would be all about.
As soon as we heard your voice on the phone, we knew we’d found our officiant! You were so responsive and helpful throughout our engagement, answering all of our questions and putting our minds at ease. You helped us to include all the small details we knew we wanted in our ceremony. And of course, our mothers absolutely loved the rose ceremony!
Both Mike and I listened carefully to all your words of wisdom and advice for the future, just taking it all in. The vows you helped us to recite to one another were some of the most beautiful words we had ever heard. We were so excited and appreciative that you sent us a copy of those powerful words we can now cherish forever.
Your entire ceremony was so meaningful and unique. Your small touch of humor made it absolutely perfect! (I still refer to Mike’s wedding ring as his “bagel!”) Our guests are still talking about how much they loved everything you said that day! They were so impressed. We cannot thank you enough for instilling in us these beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
    THANK YOU.

    WEDDING DATE -

“You offered us everything we wanted and more!”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

We wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything that you’ve done for us to provide us with our perfect wedding!

Having a big wedding wasn’t something that we were really interested in. We looked into many different ideas, but it is extremely difficult to find something accommodating for just to the two of us but at the same time still feel special and unique. When we came across your website we couldn’t have been more excited!

You offered us everything we wanted and more, and New York City is our favorite city, so it truly couldn’t have been more perfect!

We still can’t believe how easy and smooth the entire process was! Thanks to you, we never stressed about one single detail! You were always available to answer any questions, and you offered us many wonderful suggestions to make our wedding day more personal and special.

When the day finally came, we were SO excited! Everything went perfectly! Your ceremony was beautiful, and your words of love were truly touching. We will remember them for the rest of our lives. We are so happy that we did the sand ceremony. We put the vase on our mantle, in our home, and it will always be a reminder of our love, new lives together, and of course our wedding day!

Both you and the staff on the Princess Cruise Ship made sure that we had everything we needed so that we had the best night ever! And for that, we are truly grateful! We wouldn’t have changed a single thing.

Thank you again, Captain Arnold, for making our wedding day one of the best days of our lives!

    Sincerely,

    Coury and Nicole Badnell

    WEDDING DATE -

“We will look back on our wedding day as the most perfect event of our lives!”

    Good evening Captain Arnold,

My new husband and I would like to take the time to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  You presented a wonderful service and we received so many compliments on your positivity and kindness.  We both truly appreciated the ceremony, as it was from the heart and provided excellent advice for any marriage.  Our guests were so impressed that we had a captain ordain us and they also enjoyed your sense of humor and enthusiasm.

The token of good luck that you gave both myself and my little nephew was adorable and meaningful. My nephew was so excited that you gave him that little trinket and his face lit up with a smile when you engaged him in conversation.  As my husband and I build our new lives together, we will look back on our wedding day as the most perfect event of our lives.

Thank you for giving us a ceremony filled with genuine emotion and love.

Many thanks and so much love,
    Jessie & Brian Simanek

    WEDDING DATE -

“You still managed to make us feel like the only two people in the world at that moment…”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

Please accept my apology that we have not reached out sooner to extend our gratitude for the beautiful wedding ceremony you conducted for Wil and I on June 25th, 2016.  The past 7 weeks have been quite the whirlwind between adjusting to married life and honeymooning in Mexico =)

As you may recall, Wil and I are high school sweethearts and have been together for 16 years now- literally half of our lives- therefore we did not take the decision of who would be Officiating our wedding lightly!  Once we watched some of the videos and testimonials on your website (www.nauticalweddingbells.com), we knew we had found our man.

From the attention to detail you demonstrated, to making yourself available in the event we had any questions- no matter how silly- we were confident from the get-go that we had gotten it right.  And then the BIG DAY came, and we couldn’t have been more touched by the ceremony.  Despite doing this for the umpteenth time (I cannot recall what number ceremony this actually was for you!), you still managed to make us feel like the only two people in the world at that moment.  Wil and I both remarked afterward how we hung on every word, trying to take it all in, while also appreciating the comic relief you provided to keep our guests entertained. And then a few days afterward we were astounded to receive 2 of your personal photographs from the wedding and a lovely congratulatory letter in the mail- talk about five-star service!

In summation, we are forever grateful to you for making our most special day more memorable than we could have ever imagined…and as stress-free as possible! Thanks again for your professionalism; you have truly found your calling in life.

    Sincerely Yours,
    Judi & Wil Fleming

    WEDDING DATE -

“My wedding was a dream come true!”

    Dear Captain Arnold,
I would like you to know that you were the only officiant that I considered for our wedding. The moment I heard your voice, I knew that you were the right one to marry us. I’m pleased to say that my instinct was right. The ceremony you performed was absolutely perfect.
Even 10 days after the wedding, my husband can’t stop talking about the moment you instructed him to turn around and get his bride. It was such a special touch and one that made a lasting impression on the both of us.
I can’t tell you how many guests told us that our ceremony was the best they had ever attended. My wedding was a dream come true and it was due in large part to your thoughtful, touching service.
It warmed my heart to receive your package not even a week after the wedding. I want to thank you so much for including a beautiful printed copy of our vows. I will frame it and cherish it forever.
We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of sharing this day with you. As I told you many times throughout this process, it was an honor!
    Fondly,

    WEDDING DATE -

“I knew from the first conversation with you that you were 'it”

More important than the flowers or the color of the tablecloth…
    The wedding officiant.
    Dear Captain Arnold,
‘Thank you’ does not begin to express my and my husband’s deep gratitude for you and the beautiful wedding ceremony that you performed for us. Perfect is a word that I rarely use since few things in life truly are. Yet, that is how I would describe my wedding ceremony…perfect.
I knew from the first conversation with you that you were ‘it’. You were going to be the one to marry us. I felt an immediate connection and it felt right in my gut. Along with all of the research that showed your outstanding ability as an officiant, I knew choosing you as our officiant was the right choice. You have such a presence about you. You provided such a calmness that I needed in planning my wedding with just a touch of humor too, that was just right. You were available 24/7 and always had all of the information that I requested (including information that I hadn’t even thought about). You never made me feel that I was a bother or that you were too busy. You were thorough and gave me the security I needed as a bride-to-be. Billy and I felt so comfortable with you and enjoyed our meeting with you.
Also, I am so appreciative of the wedding package you sent about a week after our wedding. The vows printed on beautiful paper brought me to tears, the good kind, and I will frame it. Your guidance continued after our wedding day, by providing an after the wedding checklist which was so helpful.
Both sides of our family loved the touching ceremony and can’t believe how ‘amazing’ it was. Our wedding ceremony has and will continue to give us our best memories. The wedding ceremony, the most important part of the wedding, was a blessing. You have touched our lives forever and forever we are grateful.
    With love,

“Masterful, awesome, exquisite, extraordinary, fabulous, magnificent, unforgettable!” (I’m blushing)

    Thank You

Masterful awesome exquisite extraordinary fabulous magnificent unforgettable, these are all the things that Capitan Arnold was on our wedding day. Captain Arnold made our wedding one of the most memorable events in our lives. our guest are still Raving about our ceremony, why are they raving? Because of Captain Arnold, He is brilliant!!!! Not only will we never forget our wedding day but our guest will never forget it. How many people can say that?

I don’t think I have ever been to a wedding and the ceremony was the thing that I remember the most. Captain Arnold knew when to be funny and when to take care of the task at hand, and no one was ever bored. Every word he spoke was precise and on point, I don’t think anyone could have done better. Captain Arnold was truly a gift from God on our special day.

Not only was the Captain there for us on our wedding day, but from the time we met him he was there to help us through the stress that comes with planning a wedding. He always gave encouraging words when we needed them most. WEDDING DATE -

“We are so blessed you were there for us!!!”

    Hello Capt. Arnold:

I want to tell you how much we enjoyed the ceremony you performed for us, but I am afraid that my words will fall short of just how wonderful it was for us and our guests. Your words were beautiful, yet not stuffy. You kept an elegant sense of humor that delighted us and our family and friends. We feel that if we had not had you as our officiant, that we would have missed out big time. We are so blessed you were there for us!!! As we said, we could go on and on about all the details you took care of and the beauty of the ceremony, but how does one draw a magnificent painting without a brush and a canvas? We got so many compliments about you from our guests, it was like “where did you find him” “He was awesome” “His comments are so poignant, sincere, and he touched us; not just any old boring ceremony”, “this was all top notch from the moment we got to the cruise terminal”. As you can read Capt. Arnold, the comments speak for themselves, John and I will never forget you…in fact, we have you on video forever. We are so fortunate to have you bless our marriage. Thank you for being there and for being you, we couldn’t have wanted for more.

Please convey a special thank you to Tammie and the two other coordinators. Tammie kept me sane during all the proceedings at the terminal, knowing she was in control gave me a lot of comfort and eased my “bridal nerves”. She was awesome all the way. A couple of our guests want to recognize Melissa (I think that was her name). She did a special favor for one of our guests that were cruising with us and he was so extremely grateful that he kept telling everyone how terrific she was and what a great person she was in how she treated him. He wants her to get a promotion whatever that means in your world. Please make sure to convey our gratitude.

I know now why you are so well known out there, but let me tell you that you are also now very well known and loved in my inner circle.

Thank you again. John and I got lucky twice, once we met each other and then when we met you.

    With sincere love and gratitude,

    John and Maria Aschenbach

Romantic elegance, country charm, gracious ambiance and tranquil beauty, all nestled in the beautiful hills of Connecticut.

On April 17th, 2011, I performed a wedding ceremony for a beautiful couple at the historic
“Inn at Woodstock Hill”, a lovely spot on this planet that had it all. Romantic elegance, country charm, gracious ambiance and tranquil beauty, all nestled in the beautiful hills of Connecticut. And what even made it more special, is that with well close to two thousand wedding ceremonies that I’ve performed, I’ve known the Bride that stood before me since the day she was born. I’ve watched her grow into a beautiful young lady and shared many special days in her life. Oh! By the way, she’s my Granddaughter! A few weeks later, she wrote me this note that I share with all my couples. And as a further update, I have been blessed by becoming a Great Grandfather to her beautiful daughter, who is the apple of my eye and the sunshine in my life.

    Dear Grandpa,

When we decided to get married, we knew the true heart and focus for us would be the ceremony. Initially, I felt so honestly overwhelmed by so much of what we laughingly called the “wedding industrial complex” and all the unnecessary distractions and drama that wedding planning unfortunately but inevitably brings. We wanted to stay with the true meaning of the day. We wanted words that merged our two lives and brought eternal symbols and rituals to life in a solemn, but joyous way. We wanted something simple, elegant, and deeply meaningful. And that is exactly what you provided.

As a writer and teacher, I searched through many, many stacks of books trying to find the right words to pledge a lifetime to another person. You told me you had it all set and ready, and not to worry or stress. Finally, I had the faith to believe you and trust your experience and drop my intimidating task. After all, I had seen you perform ceremonies for other couples and each time was wonderful and flawless. I put my books away and left it up to you. I’m glad I did. Your ceremony is just the right balance of humorous and sentimental. It is exactly on the mark.

The funny thing is, many of the words spoken were exactly some of the things I stumbled across and loved the very most. Certain lines of poems and sayings that were exactly what I had found and underlined were weaved together with a masterful touch. It’s really as though you read our minds and found the wise words about the sacred commitment and unparalleled love marriage brings. You did all the work finding the right words so we could simply focus on the experience itself. I am so grateful for that.

You said everything we wanted you to say and much more. Your engaging, rich voice and touching sentiments brought tears of emotion to guests we know well and even to strangers witnessing the truth and beauty of your words. To listen to you speak about love is transformative and resonates with every person present. We were so touched and moved by the magic of your ceremony and so was everyone joining us in a perfect moment of connection and bliss.

We have and we will reflect back often to the meaningful words spoken and revel in the powerful and transformative ceremony you created. You helped us focus on the true purpose of the day: to connect our lives and pause to be grateful and celebrate the love that holds our families together.

    Love Always,
    Nicole and Josh

    WEDDING DATE -

“A conveyor belt for weddings she said, but not for her”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

We both wanted to thank you so much for marrying us last month.

Finally being together after years of a transatlantic relationship meant we just wanted was to be married; we didn’t need a fuss, we didn’t need lots of guests and we didn’t need to throw lots of money at it. We went to City Hall in Manhattan to get our marriage license on Friday but as soon as I stepped in there I knew I couldn’t get married there. It was cold, unromantic, a conveyor belt for weddings. I was a bride that didn’t want a fuss, but it still had to be special. I went into panic mode-my Mum had flown over for the wedding and Matthew only had a few precious days booked that he could take off work.

I got home and got straight on the Internet. I called a few places and they didn’t seem to be listening to what we wanted, insisting on overpriced ’packages’. Then by chance, we found your website and I called imagining it would be too late. However, you were not at all phased by arranging a wedding in the less that 48 hours. You handled everything with a calm, unshakable organization and recommended the stunning location of the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park.

When the day came, the sun shone for the first time in weeks, the autumn gold of the trees reflected over Central Park and the skyline of Manhattan peaked behind them. It was like a movie set.

Your ceremony was just what we wanted; you incorporated both my father and Matthew’s mother who are no longer with us- with dignity and grace. The ceremony had humor and character and was the perfect length. You spoke about love with the wisdom and conviction only a man married for decades can do. We got some fantastic pictures afterward to remind us for always.

Thank you again for being the one person that made two people in love very happy on the autumn day the sun came out in New York City.

“The best wedding ceremony their guests had seen”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

We just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the part you played in making our wedding day so special. Many of our guests told me that our ceremony was the best they had ever attended. It was a real hardship for Bruce’s mom to come to the wedding, but after the ceremony, she told me that she would never have forgiven herself if she had missed such a beautiful service. As you know, you were recommended to us by the managerial staff at the Gatsby. Once I spoke to you, I was confident that you were going to do the right job for us. I know our ceremony was a little unique because it was the second marriage for both of us, and we both come from different religious backgrounds. As I had expressed to you, the goal of our wedding was to have our close friends and family celebrate with us as we formalized an eleven-year relationship. We wanted our event to be memorable and fun. You gave us that and more. Your words completely captivated the audience. People laughed, couples held hands and I think we all took a few minutes to reflect on the true meaning of love. I think the addition of the unity candle and wine ceremonies brought an element of spirituality to the ceremony that was appreciated by all faiths. You told me to trust you to pick out beautiful vows that would make our ceremony special. You certainly lived up to your promise. I especially appreciated the fact that you sent us a copy of them as a keepsake. You are a true professional who clearly loves what he does. We are so glad that we chose you to play this very special role in our lives. Thank you for a day that was everything we wanted it to be.
    Sincerely,
    Kim & Bruce Kane

    WEDDING DATE -

“A letter long overdue they said, but it doesn’t get any better than this”

    Dear Capt. Arnold

This letter is long overdue, but as time passes you are more and more appreciated. It meant so much to us that someone who had met us before we went on the journey towards marriage could marry us. I knew from the time we had met before and all the stories we had heard about you that one day when the time was right you would be the one to marry us. Of all the difficult decisions that come with planning a wedding, you were the easiest and you exceeded our expectations a million times over. We still continue to this day, almost a year later, hearing about how wonderful and amazing Capt. Arnold was at our wedding. From family to friends and colleagues, young and old, everyone has acknowledged how special you made our ceremony and as we continue to attend more weddings since, all we hear is “That was nice, but it wasn’t the Captain.” When you really look back, a wedding isn’t about the flowers, the cake or the dress. It’s about the commitment two people make to each other and you made that moment stand out and not be forgotten as so many tend to do. Words can’t describe how memorable you made our wedding. You made us laugh and cry and really think about the commitment we were making. The sand ceremony and the rose ceremony really added that individual touch so many of our guests had never seen, adding to the uniqueness we successfully created with your help. You truly have an amazing way with words and know how to captivate people’s hearts. You are a special person and will hold a very dear place with us always. We look forward to watching our video ceremony over and over and it is because of you that we will continue to enjoy one of the most memorable moments of our lives. Thank you for being part of our wedding and for everything you did to make it special. Take care of yourself and hopefully, we will see you soon.

    Love always,
    Jill & Sanjoy

    WEDDING DATE -

“That day you didn’t just marry a husband and a wife, you married a family and you did so with incredible finesse”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

Donna and I would like to thank you for presiding over our ceremony.

In planning our wedding on the beach, we knew that the officiant would play a key role in the success of our big day. We had read the testimonials on your website but what you delivered that day, far surpassed all of our expectations. You blended the perfect balance of tenderness, humor, wisdom and love to create a truly memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

Before we had walked out to the beach you pulled us off to the side for some last minute advice. We listened to your words and tuned out all of the distractions swirling around us. It’s amazing how the little things really made the day so much more enjoyable. Just a few soothing words settled our nerves and got us to focus on the moment at hand. When we look back at that day, we always come back to the fact that you came through for us time and time again.

We had prepared vows for our family medallion and sand ceremonies but we weren’t entirely happy with them. You suggested that we entrust it to you and that you had something suitable. As the proceedings unfolded we were amazed at how your words just wove our lives together with such grace and ease. Donna’s two daughters had a great deal of anxiety approaching the ceremony… “Where do we stand?” “What are we supposed to do?”… but you were there every step of the way to guide them in a gentle and friendly manner. We can never thank you enough for all you did that day to make it special beyond words.

As the day progressed we can’t tell you how many people stopped us and made it a point of complimenting your service. Everyone was incredibly impressed with how personal you made our ceremony. It really felt as if you had known us all of our lives. That day you didn’t just marry a husband and a wife, you married a family and you did so with incredible finesse. We’ll forever consider it an honor and privilege to have had you share our wedding day with us.

    Sincerely,

    Jim & Donna Cardillo

“An extraordinary ceremony performed in a truly magnificent atmosphere, the Riverhead Aquarium…and even the fish, sharks and whales smiled.”

    Dear Captain Arnold,

Ed and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful ceremony that you performed for us. We were impressed with all aspects of your service. You managed to create a unique blend of professionalism and sensitivity, which resulted in the exact ceremony we were looking for.
Our vows were very lovely. You were able to work with us to come up with the right words which expressed our commitment to each other and our personal beliefs. The humor which you interjected into the ceremony was a lovely touch, and at the same time, very appropriate. Ed and I truly appreciated your punctuality, wit, and kindness.
It is so wonderful to be able to reflect back on such an auspicious beginning to our married life. Our wedding day and your ceremony is something that we will always remember. Ed and I could not have hoped for a better day, and we feel so very lucky to have had you preside over our union as a married couple. So many people have approached us since our wedding to tell us how much they enjoyed your words. We are so appreciative of you for making our day so special.
Once again, thank you for everything.

    Warmest wishes,

“Wow! This letter written in English and Spanish was like a beautiful Christmas Card from a beautiful couple.”

    Dear Arnold Captain:

Wishing you and your family; happiness, peace, and love in these special days of Christmas. But mainly, we appreciate the devote attention and the gentle manner you showed us from the first moment when you were contacted by Adelina.

It was wonderful to feel your great interest, by telephone and email messages, all in aim to prepare for our special day. It made us think that the decision to contract you for our marriage was perfect.

During the ceremony in front of you, and our guests, in truth it was very pleasant to listen to your advice, to share our togetherness and happy lives. I thank you very much to mention my parents and my family, who resides in Costa Rica and for this reason of the distance they could not accompany us.

To know you personally was fantastic. All the guests expressed their joy and because of this, we decided to write to you of our experience.

To have chosen you was a brilliant idea, our dream became a reality when we traveled on the love boat.

    Thank you with all heart.

    God bless you,

“A very beautiful letter from a very beautiful couple. It made my day!”

    Dear Captain,

This is written for you especially, as well as anyone who cares to read about your services, and the extreme pride and care you take in rendering them to your very grateful couples. Many people choose to go on-line and somehow hope to meet, through the chancy designs of a dating service, their “soul-mate”. Well, we were extremely lucky to have met each other, my wife and me, through spontaneous, natural occurrences. We did, however, go on-line and search for an officiant. What were we looking for exactly? And where would we find it? Who and what would our officiant be like, and what would we have to do to procure him or her? These were among the many varied questions we had dancing through our worried brains. The search started out looking not too promising. Some were unavailable on our date, while others asked us a million personal or religious-type questions. Others still wanted us to participate in a pre-cana experience! We already both did all that the first time around, you know, with the “test run marriage.” We simply wanted a loving, beautiful and spiritual ceremony, without too much “fluff,” unnecessary emphasis on our personal faiths and beliefs, or sleep-inducing rhetoric inflicted on our hungry and anxious guests, all of whom were very impressed with you, and moved by the ceremony, incidentally. You were unbelievably accommodating and perfect in every way we imagined, hoped or specified to you. The intense feelings you shared with us, proudly, of our love for each other, and for our happiness, were clearly evident. You took time, beyond what was called for, to learn about our uniqueness, our backgrounds and what we were striving to convey to each other and to our guests on our very special day. You scored victory and success on all fronts. We couldn’t be prouder or more satisfied with whom we chose (although you really made the decision a no-brainer) to perform our ceremony, and we thank you from the bottoms of our very full hearts! You are a caring, gifted man who takes great pride in and pays strict attention to detail in what you do. You also seem to joyously derive almost as much pleasure in the love and satisfaction your couples feel for each other as we do ourselves! What more could anyone ask for from their wedding officiant? Thank you so much Captain!

“One of the most beautiful letters I’ve ever received, it really made my day!”

    Dear Captain Arnold:

“What can you say to an extraordinary individual who has the ability to take just one brief moment of our life and in doing so, create a memory that will last a lifetime.
We want to sincerely thank you for a wonderful ceremony and your words of inspiration and commitment.
Your personalized approach and sense of humor made our day all the more special.
We felt your words as they truly touched our hearts and resonated in our feelings for one another.
The words you spoke not only celebrated our union but offered valuable counsel and wisdom, which we have embraced and will continue to strive toward in our daily lives.
Our families were also deeply moved by the ceremony (they are still talking about it)! and your ability to articulate the goodness and challenges that marriage brings.
We wish you much happiness, and hope that our paths will again cross in the near future.”

    WEDDING DATE -

“A honeymoon that started with a hurricane and ended with a fire & they still thought about my beautiful ceremony, Incredible!”

    Captain Arnold,

First of all I need to apologize for taking so long in getting this letter to you. We left on our honeymoon two days after the wedding, which, if you remember, was when what was left of the hurricane hit. I was following the radar and storm tracker, and it appeared that when we were supposed to leave the storm was in central NJ, so I correctly figured that by the time we hit the Verrazano, clearing would begin. We ended up with clear sailing for the remainder of the day, and an uneventful trip until the last day.

At 0715 two uniformed Suffolk County policeman were knocking on the boat’s door at our marina in Greenport. I answered it only to have them say there was a “fire condition on the dock and we needed to evacuate immediately.” Pat had just stepped out of the shower and I was still in my nightclothes, but when I looked out I saw a 25-foot boat completely ablaze at the gas dock(!) which was only 3 boats away. We evacuated quickly, to watch this boat burn to the waterline.

I figured I could get the boat started and the lines off within 90 seconds, so if the fire spread to the next boat we were going to rapidly depart instead of watching my new 41′ burn. Fortunately, they were able to contain the fire so it wasn’t necessary. Not many people can say their honeymoon started with a hurricane and ended with a fire.

    Anyway……

Pat and I can’t begin to tell you how pleased we were with your message and ceremony. We had several obstacles to overcome, all of which you managed to do professionally yet emotionally. Several members of Pat’s immediate family had recently died (mother, father, sister) and yet you were able to lovingly incorporate them into the ceremony. We both have older children, so bonding the families in the ceremony was not an easy task, yet you did so beautifully. Pat and I, both middle-aged and both previously married, understand the true and real problems of marriage. You were able to speak of these problems realistically and offer suggestions to avoid these pitfalls again. You brought tears to our eyes and to the eyes of our guests. There is not a person with whom we have spoken with who has not mentioned how beautiful your service was and how touched they were by it. You made a wonderful evening even better and gave our evening and life- a blessed start.

Thank you so much for personalizing this for us. You will forever be remembered as we reminisce over our wedding night.

“They tied the knot on Top of the World!”

In a message dated 8/10/2004 4:22:21 PM Eastern Standard Time, michellelongden@hotmail.com writes:

    Dear Captain Arnold:

Just wanted to say a few words to thank you for being part of our wonderful
    New York wedding.

As we got engaged on top of the Empire State Building, it seemed fitting that
we “tie the knot” there also. The day before the wedding the heavens opened
and the rain poured down but on the big day the sun shone and it really did
feel like we were on top of the world.
When the service started the beautiful words you read to us felt so personal
and we had never heard more heartfelt wedding vows than the ones we said to
    each other.

It was a great pleasure to meet you Captain Arnold and a huge privilege to
have you marry us in our favorite city. Thank you also for sending us the photos and a copy of our vows (they arrived on Tuesday 3rd August). It was a lovely surprise as our official photographs won’t be ready for a few more weeks and reading those special words again reminded us of our perfect day.

    Our warmest wishes always.
    Your friends across the water,

    William and Michelle Hillditch

    YOU’RE STILL INVITED…

To read some more accolades of praise that go on and on ….!

HAPPY COUPLES KEEP POSTING THEIR FEELINGS AND HEARTFELT THANKS!

And you can expect even more! Couples and guests that have seen me perform my ceremony at several weddings keep telling me that I’m getting better with age, just like some fine wine!

    THANK YOU.
